Cinco de Mayo is the one day of the year it’s acceptable to chase tequila shots with margaritas.

Cinco de Mayo and Salsa
Cotton Creek Winery is adding wine-a-rita specials and chips, queso and salsa to its usual Salsa Night. Get a quick salsa lesson before dancing the night away.

When: Lesson at 7 p.m. Friday. Dancing at 8:30 p.m.

Madison’s
Starting at 5 p.m., Madison’s will have cheap drinks and cheap crawfish. The bar will offer drink specials on margaritas and beer. Madison’s annual Cinco de Mayo turtle races start at 6 p.m. Hang out for live music inside or a DJ on the patio.

Neches Brewing Company
The Port Neches brewery will have specials on Mexican beers, and co-owner Tyler Blount said the brewery will be releasing its El Verano, a Mexican style beer that’s been aging in a Herradura tequila barrel for five months.

Cinco de Drinko
Portus Lounge is offering plenty of specialty drinks, like the Mexican Martini and Mexican Mule, on top of specials on Mexican beers and tequila.
